Team Bios

Our consultants and partners have worked for corporations prior to embarking on innovation consulting careers.  We utilize consultants with at least 15 years of innovation process experience across numerous industries and initiatives to ensure you get the guidance you seek.

Lisa W. Parker, Managing Principal


Lisa co-founded Stratovation Associates after spending several years with IdeaScope Associates and Creative Realities, two pioneers in the innovation consulting industry. She has worked with clients across a number of industries. Lisa focuses on the identification of new market opportunities (product/services), building effective teams for projects, recruiting and facilitating expertise panels, creativity training, and strategic innovation process.


She continues to find new ways for her clients to immerse themselves in their clients' worlds using creative incubation exercises and exercises.  Her passion is the invention of new processes that lead to breakthrough thinking as well as getting teams to embrace the importance of different thinking styles and perspectives.


Lisa has worked on initiatives as far away as Moscow, Beijing, Japan, Stockholm, Germany, Canada and the U.K. as well as domestically in client's neighborhoods.   She has focused experience in healthcare and healthcare devices, consumer products, computing and printer technology, building materials and non-profits.


Earlier in her career, Lisa worked in marketing as a product manager for Frito-Lay Inc. in their Plano, TX headquarters before making the leap to innovation consulting in 1994.


Lisa currently serves on the Advisory Board and Grants Allocation Committee of the Women's Fund of Essex County.  She is a former trustee of several educational institutions as well as Alumni Council Chair of the Fuqua School of Business.  Lisa earned her BA in Psychology from Trinity College in Connecticut and her MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. She is an avid traveler,  enjoys skiing, tennis and sailing and is a trivia buff.  She resides outside Boston, Ma.

Gayle Jay, Managing Principal


Gayle is a seasoned professional with considerable experience in creatively leading senior corporate teams to Breakthrough Growth Strategies, New Innovative Products and Services and Organizational Transitions.


Gayle has passionately delivered consulting initiatives in multiple industries:  technology, pharmaceutical, medical, utilities, consumer packaged goods and office products.  Gayle’s clients include Hewlett-Packard, Agilent Technologies, Avery Dennison, Nike and US W3st.  Much of Gayle’s consulting has been global, working throughout Europe and Asia, including Russia and China.


As part of mentoring and training other consultants, Gayle donates strategic facilitation for the boards of non profit organizations like Big Brothers and big sisters SF, Make-a-Wish Foundation SF, Orange County Child Abuse Prevention Center and Peninsula Humane Society, San Mateo, CA.  She is a member of the American Management Association and the Association of Strategic Planning. 


Gayle earned two undergraduate degrees; a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and in International Business both from Portland State University. She is known for her invigorating energy. She volunteers time working with abused/neglected children, enjoys a good tennis match, is currently rehabbing an investment property, tends to her roses and likes to hit the ski slopes. Gayle resides outside Seattle, Washington with her family.
